Cloud People
The Sun is low in the West
Clouds block his red light from reaching the living soil
Only the Cloud People, high up in the sky
Still enjoy the brightness
Partially
Like in a crowd
They block each other’s view
You can tell by the shadows they cast
Red smiley faces
Turn dark and gray
As the Sun makes its way
To bring dawn to other places
The Cloud People stand on their toes
To get one last glimp
As day turns into night.
